The Kabyle woman
A Kabyle woman, in all her beauty. She put on her traditional dress: her dress is richly decorated, her scarf with the yellow colour that symbolises Kabylia, her yellow and red-striped foutta tied around her waist, her silver jewels adorned with coral. This jewellery is inherited from distant ancestors, brought to North Africa by the Romans, who were well accepted by the Kabyle people, who share with them so many values.
Values that are the exact opposite of the morbid dogma conveyed in Islam, which distorts everything it touches, causing men to become aggressive and possessive. Islam keeps women locked up and denies them their rights because of the “prophet’s” morbid jealousy.
The picture shows a young woman with a rebellious attitude: Kabyle women are stubborn, which means they are not easily impressed! It’s in her nature. But she also knows how to be fair and humble, she is generous and sensitive.
