On the occasion of the grand march on Monday 11th September in Barcelona celebrating the Catalan Nation Day (Diada Catalunya), the president of the Kabyle Provisional Government in exile (Anavad), expresses in his name and that of the people Kabyle support for the Catalans.
Ferhat Mehenni urges his Catalan counterpart, Carles Puigdemont, to keep his promise to hold a referendum on 1 October 2017.
If the Catalan people declare their independence, the Kabyle Provisional Government in exile will officially recognize an independent Catalonia.
Not one week before this, on 25 September 2017, the Iraqi Kurds will organize their own referendum on self-governance.
