Kabylia-Europe. A Kabyle delegation is received by the European People’s Party (EPP) at the European Parliament

For the second consecutive day at the European Parliament in Strasbourg, the Kabyle delegation of the Provisional Kabyle Government in Exile (Anavad) led by President Ferhat Mehenni, was received, this Wednesday 18 January 2023, by a group of MEPs from the conservative parliamentary group of the European People’s Party (EPP).
At the request of the European parliamentarians, Mas Aselway, Ferhat Mehenni, presented for a long time, with files and documents, the dramatic situation of Kabylia under the Algerian colonial yoke, punctuated by permanent and recurrent serious violations of human rights and crimes against humanity committed in Kabylia and against the Kabyle people.
Interested by the chaotic and uncompromising account of the situation in Kabylia, the EPP MEPs wanted a more in-depth exchange and asked precise questions on the “dossier” of Kabylia, to which the Anavad delegation responded by presenting documents supporting the remarks and analyses presented.
The two parties parted by agreeing on a common action plan and agreed to meet again for its implementation.
The Anavad delegation took advantage of this working day in the European Parliament to also meet the representatives of the Kurdish people in the European institutions.
It should be recalled that during the MAK Congress which took place on 15 January, a resolution in support of the Kurdish people was adopted.
The two delegations, Kabyle and Kurdish, agreed to work hand in hand, within the framework of the right of both peoples to peacefully exercise their right to self-determination guaranteed by international law.
