Friendship between Scottish and Kabyle

On 1 August, the pro-independence Scottish marched in Glasgow for the recovery of the total sovereignty of their country.

Kabylia was present at this major political event through “Idol no more Kabylia” that carried the Kabyle national flag, the portrait of Ameziane Mehenni, murdered by the Algerian services in 2004 and the portrait of the Scottish activist Willie Macrae dead in mysterious circumstances in 1985.

This political event was an opportunity to strengthen ties between different peoples fighting for their freedom. This solidarity is expressed through the Kabyle, Catalan, Scottish flags … that floated throughout the march that took place from Kelvingrove  to Glasgow Green.
